Looking to the Future :
Older and LGBT in Kildare
Osprey Hotel Nass Co Kildare
10am - 3pm
Registration 9:30 am
Many older lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Ireland grew up in a time when being open about their sexuality was almost impossible, and it remains extremely difficult for many. As a result, members of the LGBT community are more at risk of becoming lonely and isolated in their old age. There are also emerging issues about the provision of care (residential/home) for older LGBT people, particularly those who are HIV positive or Transgender. We invite you to join us in exploring ways to ensure that older LGBT people in Kildare and its surrounds have the best possible opportunities for living a positive and active life, to discuss how these risk factors may be addressed, and to explore steps that can be taken to achieve positive change. |
We attach a Draft Programme Outline and Registration form (in both PDF and Word format) and invite you to express interest by completing the form and returning it, by email or post, to
