Set your Clocks this weekend and test your smoke alarm while your at it
 So its come to the time of year that the clocks change , and while your changing the clocks , perhaps you might be dragging a chair around the house to reach one of your clocks. Why not test your smoke alarm while you have the chair or ladder out .

All the lads in the shed would like to thank Athy Steel Products Ltd , for their help in donating the steel for the welding course and making the parts for the trailer we refurbished , and all the help they gave us on the projects we are working on. Especially the flue for our wood burner to keep the lads warm in the shed .

Jimmy decided to make them a Gavel for their auctions , and this morning John Baxter was available to collect it from Pierce and Gerry of the Men's Shed  Many thanks to Brian O'Gorman of Athy Town Council for emailing some more (better) photos from the recent award presentation. We currently have too many and are offering any men's shed that can come and collect as many bikes as they can handle.  The Athy Men's Shed is entering another team called 'Cardiac Arrest' into this years Athy Dragon Boat Regatta which is to be held on Sunday, 5th May 2013 at Emily Square We will be running in the Best Fancy Dressed Team competition so get those thinking caps on. Last year we were short on bodies so we need volunteers, there is a price per person to enter the race but details have not been finalised, if you are interested in joining the Athy Mens Shed team this year please message us back here or on facebook or drop into the shed .  Athy Mens Shed Karate Class Some of the guys from our shed , with Ray ( one of the founding members of Athy Community Men's Shed ) attending his Karate Class in Athy last night If you would like to get fit , with a friendly bunch of lads, Ray is running a Karate class , every Monday night in the C.D.P. on Woodstock street Athy . That script is a bit small to read in the photo here is what it say's : Dave Henshaw of Athy Mens Shed is loking for a horse. And not to eat! Dave needs a horse to pull his trap in the St. Patricks Day Parade in Athy, " I hope I can save a horse from becoming a beef burger" joked Dave. Horse carriage for sale Spring was in the air when some of the lads from Tallaght Men's Shed dropped in for sausagesaturday and a peek around the shed.
